This training is grounded in the understanding that more than one thing can be true at once—biology, emotion, environment, and lived experience are always interacting.

Your role is not to control the outcome.

Your role is to understand the system, support the person within it, and respond to what’s actually happening in real time.

Doula Rise: This training falls within approved Doula RISE categories. Independent trainings do not require MDHHS approval. Participants are responsible for submitting their own reimbursement.

You won’t just learn techniques. You’ll learn how to think, respond, and support in real time.

Need Implicit Bias Training?

Optional Interactive Implicit Bias Training Credit (No Additional Fee)

This training includes an optional pathway to earn a second certificate for Interactive Implicit Bias Training in Perinatal Care—at no additional cost.

To receive this certificate, you will:

• Attend both the Specialized Doula Training live session and the Implicit Bias live session

• Complete three written reflection assignments

This additional component is designed to support deeper awareness and application of unintentional (implicit) bias in real birth settings—focusing on autonomy, language, decision-making, and how we show up for clients in vulnerable spaces.

Upon completion, you will receive an additional certificate documenting your hours of Interactive Implicit Bias Training.

Live Session Scheduling:
At least one Implicit Bias live session will be offered per quarter. Additional sessions may be added based on enrollment to ensure access for participants.
