Mind-Body, Birth® Specialized Training for Doulas
Biopsychosocial Support in Preparation, Birth Experience, Lactation, and Postpartum Outcomes
This 6-hour virtual training introduces the Mind-Body, Birth® biopsychosocial framework, which teaches that experiences before birth influence labor physiology, emotional outcomes, lactation, and postpartum adjustment. Doulas will learn how prenatal education, nervous system regulation, decision-support, and early postpartum guidance affect both birth outcomes and long-term parent–infant wellbeing.
This course emphasizes the doula’s role before, during, and after birth, including preparation, support during labor, protection of emotional safety, and guidance in the early postpartum period. Special attention is given to the relationship between birth experience, nervous system state, and successful human milk feeding.
Participants will learn practical tools for helping clients prepare for birth, remain regulated during labor, navigate unexpected events, and transition into postpartum and lactation with greater stability.
