Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about Sound Birthing programs, how to get started, and what to expect.

I offer limited virtual individual sessions. These are 45 minutes long and cost $125 (please see do you take insurance for more information). If you're interested in personal guidance, contact me to see if we are a good fit.

Sound Birthing offers both educational programs and virtual doula support, which are billed differently.

Doula services are provided one-on-one in a virtual setting and do not include attending births in person.

For Michigan residents, Medicaid and United Healthcare are accepted. For eligible plans: Medicaid clients have no out-of-pocket cost, and all billing is handled for you.

Current Eligible Medicaid Plans are:

  • McLaren Medicaid

  • Meridian Medicaid

  • United Healthcare

  • Others are coming soon so check back or reach out for coverage questions.

Visits are flexible and can be used in a way that best supports you. You may choose to split your visits between:

  • virtual care with me

  • your in-person birth doula

  • postpartum support (with me virtually or another doula in person)

If you do not already have a birth doula, I can help connect you with one.

If you have questions about your specific situation, please get in touch.
