Why I built the Mind-Body, Birth
I was heartbroken. And I was angry.
I learned the science and realized how much of what we're taught to expect from birth isn't the whole story.
Then I saw people preparing for birth without the information they needed—and blaming themselves afterward when birth didn't go according to plan.
I saw fear treated as inevitable. I saw judgment and shoulding. And I saw birth preparation that taught people what might happen to their bodies without helping them understand how their minds, relationships, histories, environments, and expectations could shape the experience too.
And I said, no. We aren't doing this anymore.
I wanted a different way to prepare for birth. One that takes the science seriously and the person experiencing birth just as seriously. One that gives you real information without telling you what decisions to make. One that makes room for fear, questions, changing your mind, and a life that might not look like everyone else's.
So I created Mind-Body, Birth.
A way to Birth. Better.
